Dr. Uday Andar is a Consultant Paediatric Neurosurgeon in the Neurosurgery department of Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
He completed his MBBS from University of Bombay in 1980. Following which, he pursued his M.Ch. (Paediatric Neurosurgery), graduating in 1985.
Over the years, Dr. Andar has been a part of many renowned institutions such as the KEM Hospital, Mumbai, Newcastle Gen. Hospital & Regional Neurosciences Center, UK, Addenbrookes Hospital & Regional Neurosciences Center, UK, Hospital for Children, London, UK and National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, London UK holding various positons including Hon. Clinical Director and Consultant Neurosurgeon.
Dr. Andar has been a Prof and Academic Head, Paediatric Neurosurgery, Wadia Children’s Hospital, Mumbai since 2004. He also held the position of Visiting Prof. at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, London, U.K (2001-2011).
Dr. Andar is on the editorial board of Indian Journal of Paediatric Neurosurgery and holds a life time membership of many medical associations including The Indian Medical Association Neurological Society of India, and International Society of Paediatric Neurosurgery. He is also a research advisor to YP2D Lifesciences, India
He has over 40 articles to his credit and has presented his work in several national and international conferences.
