Dr Nikhil Bhagwat is a Consultant in Diabetes at the Endocrinology department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
Dr. Nikhil Bhagwat completed his MBBS from Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital and MD from Topiwala National Medical College & BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai and thereafter went on to get DM (Endocrinology) from Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital. He also attended a training session in “Radioimmunoassay techniques and their clinical applications” conducted by Government of India at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, Mumbai. He is attached to several reputed hospitals of South Mumbai and has made a name for himself as an Endocrinologist & Diabetologist. He is also an Associate Professor of Endocrinology at Topiwala National Medical College & BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai and has been in private practise for the past 17 years.
Dr. Nikhil Bhagwat is a recognised teacher for DM (Endocrinology), MUHS and is involved in training and guiding students in their entrance tests and research projects. He has been Principal investigator for many Phase I & Phase II trials and was guest editor for the Diabetes issue of “The Indian Practitioner” in October 2013.
Dr. Nikhil Bhagwat’s special interest lies in “Preventive Diabetology & Puberty problems”.
He has been invited as guest speaker at many conferences within the country and has presented several papers, dissertations and publications in his area of expertise.
Dr. Bhagwat is a member of the Endocrinology Society of India, Research Society for the study of Diabetes in India and The Endocrine Society.
