The department of Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary (HPB) Surgery endeavours to offer state-of-the-art evidence-based treatment for the entire spectrum of diseases – benign and malignant – pertaining to the gall bladder liver, pancreas and bile ducts. The department is supported by highly qualified medical gastroenterologists along with a strong diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional endoscopy service.

The department is well-equipped to perform the complete range of operative procedures pertaining to the HPB conditions including minimal access procedures.

The diagnostic and interventional radiology service offers state-of-the-art cross sectional imaging (CT and MRI) with a dedicated abdominal radiologist to aid diagnosis and plan management.

  • Cut down the post-operative stay in hospital
  • Less post-operative pain
  • Recover faster.

This advent of laparoscopic and minimal access surgery has alleviated post-operative care to a very different level, thereby conceptualising the trend of ‘Day-care Surgery’. The early rehabilitation of patients coupled with other benefits makes it a total win-win situation for patients.
