Palliative care is a branch of modern medicine that aims to provide compassionate, comprehensive care to patients facing serious illnesses, ensuring comfort, dignity, and the highest quality of life possible.

About Us

The state-of-the-art Palliative Care Department at Sir HN Reliance Foundation aims is to provide compassionate, comprehensive care to patients facing serious illnesses, ensuring comfort, dignity, and the highest quality of life possible.

It is led by a specialist with Dual Expertise: Chronic pain medicine and Palliative medicine which positions the institution at the top of the corporate medical sector offering comprehensive care to all people and families who approach it for medical help.

For instance, although less than 2% of the people who have advanced cancer in India have access to palliative care. Our department caters to those who attend oncology and non-oncology departments to make sure they have access and opportunity to achieve the best quality of life.

Diagnostic tests and procedures

  • C-arm guided diagnostic nerve blocks for chronic pains
  • Point of care Ultrasound guided Diagnostic nerve blocks for chronic pains

Treatments and therapies for pain

Pain Nerve blocking injections or Nerve blocks

  • For people with chronic spinal pain, back and neck pain and joint pains
  • For people with illnesses like cancer, neurological illness, kidney or liver failure.
  • For people with sports injuries

 

Pain Nerve Ablations (or Radiofrequency ablations to eliminate pain causing nerves using heat energy)

  • For spinal pains
  • For conditions like Trigeminal Neuralgia which cause facial pain
  • For conditions like headaches
  • For conditions like knee, shoulder or hip pain
  • For Cancer pain syndromes
