Dr Nimish Shah is a practicing consultant- pulmonary and sleep medicine at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

After completing his MBBS, he successfully completed training in internal medicine and attained his MRCP (UK). Following which he trained in pulmonary medicine in the prestigious London Deanery at the Kings and Guys and St Thomas’ rotation. Here he attained his specialty certificate examination in respiratory medicine.

In addition to general pulmonary medicine, Dr Shah has worked extensively at the renowned Lane Fox Respiratory Unit in managing acute and chronic respiratory failure. He has also worked at the Guys Sleep Centre, the largest in Europe. This involves setting up of CPAP for sleep apnoea and BiPAP for complex sleep apnoea and or respiratory failure. He has been involved in clinical trials in the same. He has a keen interest in airways diseases and allergy.

He has trained in interventional bronchoscopy at the Royal Brompton Hospital and also has a Level 1 certification in Pleural Ultrasound.

He has experience in difficult asthma and allergy as well.

Following successfully attaining the certificate of completion training (CCT), he has worked as a consultant at Kings College Hospital. He has a keen interest in teaching and training and has completed post-graduate certificate in clinical education from Kings College London. His key interests are in introducing and expanding simulation based training and communication skills.
