Dr. Namrata Adulkar is a Consultant with Ophthalmology department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

An alumnus of Seth G S Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai; Dr. Namrata Adulkar completed her ophthalmology residency training from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, a center that has trained some of the finest eye surgeons in the country. As a fellow under various programs she gained advanced training in Oculoplastics, Orbital Surgery, Oculofacial Aesthetics and Ocular Oncology. She has trained and worked in faculty position at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai and gained immense experience in her niche subspecialty. She was honoured with international fellowship at University of British Columbia, Vancouver Canada, where she pursued a year-long surgical training mastering orbital & lacrimal surgery, cosmetic eyelid surgery and nuances of thyroid eye disease under the mentorship of Dr Peter Dolman. She has trained with the pioneers of facial aesthetics and cosmetic eyelid surgery: Prof Dr Jean Carruthers in Vancouver, Canada and Prof Dr Bhupendra Patel at Moran Eye Center, Salt lake City, USA. She holds a FRCS Ophthalmology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK. She is the winner of the coveted Lachlan McNeil Scholarship in Ophthalmology in June 2017 and was also awarded the Allergen Achiever’s Award at Erudio 2010.

During the last ten years, Dr. Adulkar has worked across the, globe and has either independently performed or assisted in over 5,000 complex oculoplastic and orbital surgeries. Her areas of interest include orbital decompression for thyroid related orbitopathy, endonasal endoscopic and non-endoscopic lacrimal surgery, small incision ptosis surgery and cosmetic blepharoplasty including double eyelid surgery, non-surgical periocular rejuvenation – botulinum toxin and cosmetic filler injections, eyelid and facial reconstruction in eyelid and orbital tumours, socket reconstruction for cosmetic rehabilitation of anophthalmic socket, management of complex orbital trauma.

She takes keen interest in academics and has a penchant for teaching postgraduate residents and fellows. She has more than 15 publications to her credit and has been a speaker at numerous national and international conferences.
