Dr. Bindu Yadav is a Consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Center.
She has also done her observership in Cornea and Anterior segment from Center of Excellence in Eye Care, LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India.
She is certified, trained surgeon in Femto LASER assisted cataract surgery (FLACS) or blade less cataract surgery.
She has done Certified Cornea Cataract and Refractive surgery course from Miguel Hernandez University, Alicante, Spain under the guidance of Dr. Jorge Alio, Professor, Ophthalmology .
She has done observership in the field of refractive surgery and optics at Narayana Nethralaya, Bengaluru and attended workshops of refractive surgery at the same institute.
Earlier, she worked at Dr. Giridhar’s multi specialty Eye Hospital, Kochi and then at Aditya Jyot Eye hospital, Mumbai. She has worked as senior consultant and surgeon in Bombay City Eye Institute and research Center for more than 6 years.
She specializes in Cataract ,Cornea and Refractive surgery. She has vast surgical experience in cataract surgery, refractive cataract surgery with premium lenses (MICS, Aspheric, Toric, Multifocal,, Trifocal & Trifocal Toric IOL’s) and Femtolaser assisted cataract surgery (FLACS), Phakic IOL's, Refractive Lens Exchange, Dry Eyes, Corneal Diseases, Corneal Collagen Crosslinking, and Refractive Surgeries .
She has also conducted clinical trials of the newer Intraocular lenses.
She has worked on various studies conducted by the institutes she was attached to. She has done studies on the outcomes of cataract surgeries and new technologies of cataract surgery.
She has been actively involved in academics and has taught many upcoming young ophthalmic surgeons. Also, she has given various lectures related to mentor mentee program and participated as instructor in surgical skill transfer programs in conference and has been part of sessions/ instruction courses
She is a Life member of All India Ophthalmological Society, Maharashtra Ophthalmological Society, and Bombay Ophthalmic Association, Delhi Ophthalmological Society, Kerala Society of Ophthalmic Surgeons.
She has keen interest and continues to upgrade her knowledge in advanced and newer technologies in cataract, cornea and refractive surge.
