Dr Rajendra S Sankpal is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
Dr. Rajendra Sankpal is a MD (Obs-Gyn) and DGO, DFP, MB (Advanced Laparoscopy). He has undergone advanced training in gynaecological endoscopy at some of the world’s most renowned centres including Yale Laparoscopy Department, New York, USA and North-western University Medical College, Chicago, USA. He was awarded the “Top Gun Prize” at Yale University for having best skills in Laparoscopic suturing. He received the FIGO post-doctoral fellowship and advanced his knowledge in 3D ultrasound technology. He has been a part of some of the most prestigious hospitals including Holy Spirit and Breach Candy.
He acts as an examiner for the postdoctoral fellowship in gynaecological endoscopy and was the president of Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopy, Jt. Secretary of Association of Maharashtra Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society (2015-17), Executive managing committee member MOGS (since 2003) and Jt. Clinical Secretary MOGS. He has received the Vikas Ratna- Rajiv Gandhi excellence Award (2014) and Glory of India award (2017).
Dr. Sankpal has been a guest speaker and faculty at many national and international workshops and conferences. He acts as a peer reviewer for international journal of gynaecology and obstetrics. He is the international associate editor Indo American book on multiple pregnancy by FOGSI publications 2002. He has authored many articles and book chapters on the subject of Gynaecological endoscopy, Ultrasound and family planning.
