Dr. Nitin Pai-Dhungat is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
He secured a distinction in the subject of pharmacology during his MBBS which was followed by a DGO, College of Physicians and Surgeons. He was honoured with the K. Bhaskar Rao Gold Medal awardee for securing the highest marks in DNB (Obs-Gyn) and holds a MRCOG (London). He has undergone additional training in Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy form Bombay Hospital (2002) and in Cardiotocography (Portsmouth, 2005)
Dr. Pai-Dhungat has a rich clinical experience with focus on Vaginal Hysterectomy (Caesarean section, large fibroids) and adenomyosis, Abdominal Hysterectomy (ovarian malignancies), High Risk pregnancies obstetrics, Laparoscopic management of cervical and endometrial cancers. He has worked at many prestigious hospitals including Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences and the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, Northern Ireland and still holds the positon of honorary consultant. He has also been actively involved in teaching postgraduate students for the last 15years.
Dr. Pai-Dhungat has undertaken many case studies and has presented the same at various conferences. He has also published his work in national journals.
