Obstetrics Gynaecology

Dr Nitin M. Narvekar is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

After completion of MBBS from Seth G.S. Medical College, he pursued his MD in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from K.E.M Hospital. He has received many awards including a gold medal in Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the 3rd MBBS examination conducted by Mumbai University.

Dr. Narvekar has trained in advanced endoscopic surgery at various European centres including Clairmont Ferrand France under Prof Bruhat, Harlem Hospital in Amsterdam under Prof Wamsteker and Katholic University in Leuven, Belgium under Prof. Donnez. He gained expertise in IVF-ET and Allied Procedures by training at the Vrie Universiteit of Brussels, Belgium, under Prof. Van Steirteghem, Prof. Paul Devroey & Dr Herman Tournaye and Hopital Erasme, Brussels, Belgium, under Prof Y. Englert and Prof. Marc Van den Bergh.

Dr. Narvekar has worked as a panel Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at many prominent hospitals in the city and has held positions such as Panel Endoscopic Surgeon and Head, Department of Infertility.

Dr. Narvekar has held the position of Honorary Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Seth G.S. Medical College since 1987 and has been an Honorary Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital for more than past two decades. He has held many prestigious positions such as the President of the Association of Maharashtra Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies (2008 – 2010), Secretary and Vice President of the Association of Maharashtra Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies (1998 – 2008) and Convener of the FOGSI recognized Endoscopy training program at the Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital (1998-2004)

Dr. Narvekar has published many articles and book chapters on Gynaecology, Infertility management and Assisted Reproduction Techniques and delivered more than 50 lectures both on various national and international platforms as a subject expert. He has also conducted workshops on various subjects in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in various cities in Maharashtra.
