Dr. Rahul Koti is a Consultant Hepato-Biliary Pancreatic Surgeon in the Hepato-Pancreatic-Biliary (HPB) Surgery department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
Dr. Rahul Koti completed his MBBS from University of Bombay with a distinction in Biochemistry. He was also awarded the Chief Residents Award for two constitutive years – in 1986 & 1987. As a merit student, he enrolled for MS (General Surgery), secured the first positon at University of Bombay and was honoured with the AV Baliga Prize in surgery, University of Bombay, 1992. Dr. Koti completed his MD at University of London, 2003 followed by EBSQ with European Board of Surgery, 2007 and FRCS (General Surgery) Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, 2010. He was also awarded the Agostino Trapani International Research Prize, 1992 and Honour Society Felicitation, Seth GS Medical College-1993.
Currently, a Consultant in HPB Surgery & Liver transplantation, Royal Free Hospital, London, Dr. Koti has been a part of many prestigious institutions such as King’s College Hospital, London, Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, UK, and KEM Hospital, Bombay. He is also a Hon. Senior Lecturer in Surgery, University College London and has been an examiner for MBBS, MD and PH.D thesis since 2012.
Dr. Koti is an active researcher and has been part of international multicentre trials. He has published 34 research articles and 4 book chapters. He has also delivered many talks as a subject expert on various international platforms.
