Dr. Nagvekar is the Director at the Infectious Diseases Department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital. He is one of the senior most infectious diseases consultant in Maharashtra. He has been awarded the prestigious degree of FIDSA (Fellow of Infectious Diseases Society of America).
He is a mentor to many students in medicine and infectious diseases. His area of interest is Immunocompromised hosts and transplant infections.
He is the Secretary of Clinical Infectious Diseases Society of India and founder member of the recently formed antimicrobial resistance trust.
