Dr. Shirish Bhagvat is a Consultant Surgeon at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
Dr. Shirish Bhagvat completed his MBBS from T N Medical College, University of Mumbai in 1981 followed by MS (General Surgery), 1986 from B Y L Nair Hospital and T N Medical College, University of Mumbai. He has trained under Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery and Fellowship of Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo-Surgeons.
Dr. Shirish Bhagvat underwent specialized training in laparoscopic Surgeries at the University of Melbourne, Australia, 1992 and has expertise in Upper and Lower GI endoscopies. He started and developed the department of GI Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgery at the D S Kothari Hospital.
In an academic career spanning almost two decades, Dr. Bhagvat has trained undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has also been an examiner for MS as well as DNB courses. He has authored 20 research publications and seven conference papers.
