Dr. Kaiomarz Balsara is a Consultant with the General & Minimal Access Surgery department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

He has completed his M.S. from B. J. Medical College, Pune. Dr. Balsara has accomplished the following fellowships: Fellow International College of Surgeons (FICS); FIAGES and Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (FALS). He has also completed Fellowship in Surgical Gastroenterology from St Vincents Hospital Sydney, Australia as well as Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Training from Wesley Hospital Brisbane Australia. Dr. Balsara has also received Laparoscopic Training in Colorectal Surgery from Wesley Hospital, Brisbane, Australia.

During his initial years of practice, Dr. Balsara was a resident surgeon at Sir H. N. Hospital. He has been practicing as a Consultant in Gastrointestinal and Laparoscopic Surgery since 1998.

Dr. Balsara is a reputed teacher for DNB – General Surgery and DNB – GI Surgery. Besides this, he is also the Founding Joint Secretary of IAGES.

He is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Minimal Access Surgery and has over 30 publications in indexed national and international journals. Dr. Balsara has conducted 11 workshops in Laparoscopic Surgery.
