Dr Shaival Chandalia is a Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
After graduating with distinction in Anatomy and Biochemistry from Topiwala National Medical College and Nair hospital, Dr Shaival H Chandalia completed his residency in internal medicine at the St Louis University Hospital,USA in 2004. He was awarded the postgraduate degree of Diplomate, American Board of Internal Medicine in 2005. He further completed his fellowship training in Endocrinology , Diabetes and Metabolism at UT Southwestern Medical Centre, Dallas, USA from 2007-08.
Dr Chandalia holds memberships of the Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India, Association of Diabetes Care and Prevention, and Indian Medical Association. He has conducted many CMEs as a subject expert and has authored several journal articles. He has also contributed chapters to the RSSDI textbook of Diabetes which provides an Indian perspective to the field of diabetes and is meant for diabetologists. He has helped author educational material for patients with diabetes. This includes a chapter in a book for patients called 'Conquest of Diabetes by Diet and Exercise‘.
