Dr. Udyavar is a Consultant Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist. He specialises in the treatment of heart beat problems (called arrhythmias) and heart failure. He is one of the few cardiac electro-physiologist in the city who is trained in 3D-mapping of arrhythmias and specialises in ablation of atrial fibrillation (AF) and scar VT. He is well versed in performing EP study and ablation of arrhythmias and in device implantations for heart failure patients.
He specialises in device implantations namely pacemakers, defibrillators and biventricular pacing.
He has been awarded the Young Investigator Award in Asia-Pacific AF symposium in 2007. He has received the J.N. Tata Scholarship in the year 2006.
He has 32 publications till date in peer-reviewed specialty journals in India and abroad.
