Dr. Himanshu Sharma is a licensed, board-certified urologist and robotic surgeon with over 16 years of clinical experience in uro-oncology and kidney transplantation. He is highly skilled in performing both complex and routine urological surgeries, including open and robotic kidney transplantation. Dr. Sharma is proficient in minimally invasive surgeries for urological cancers, such as robotic prostatectomy for prostate cancer, robotic radical cystectomy for bladder cancer, and robotic partial as well as radical nephrectomy for kidney cancers. He also specializes in surgeries for cancers of the adrenal gland, penis, and testes.
Dr. Sharma is among a select group of urologists in India who perform MR Fusion Prostate biopsy and TRUS-guided prostate biopsy for the diagnosis of prostate cancer. Additionally, he excels in advanced endourological treatments for kidney stones and prostate enlargement, including laser treatments like RIRS, URSL for kidney stones, and HoLEP, ThuLEP, and TURP for prostate diseases. Dr. Sharma is one of the few urologists globally to offer UroLift treatment, which aims to preserve sexual function in patients with prostatic enlargement.
With a special interest in male sexual health, Dr. Sharma has over a decade of experience managing male sexual dysfunction.
