Dr. Kiran P. Sathe is a Consultant for Paediatric Nephrology and General Paediatrics at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
Dr Sathe has completed his MBBS, DCH and DNB (Paediatrics). He has a 'Clinical Research Fellowship' in Paediatrics from Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai. He further trained in Paediatric Nephrology from reputed national and international Institutes namely Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai and National University Hospital, Singapore. He also did visiting fellowship in Paediatric Nephrology from St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bangalore; Heidelberg University Hospital, Germany; Children’s Medical Centre; University of Texas South western Medical Centre; Dallas, Texas, USA and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London. He has fellowships in Paediatric Nephrology from Indian Society of Paediatric Nephrology (ISPN) as well as International Paediatric Nephrology Association (IPNA).
He worked with some of the most respected and experienced doctors in his field.
Dr Kiran has won the ‘Best Clinical Research Fellow’ award by Amar Gandhi Foundation and Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai during his fellowship. He has won the Best Oral paper award at Indian Society of Organ Transplantation. He was awarded the J.R.D Tata and Ratan Tata scholarship for undergraduate medical training and J. N. Tata Endowment Scholarship for International Medical Education. He was a merit holder with first rank in college and numerous distinctions during MBBS university examinations.
He has presented his work in Paediatric Nephrology at International Paediatric Nephrology conference at Shanghai, China and also at Venice, Italy. He has been invited as Speaker to talk on topics pertaining to kidney problems in children on multiple occasions. He is a part of “Kidney Foundation for Children” a not- for- profit organisation formed by a small group of Paediatric nephrologists to improve care of children with kidney diseases.
He has been part of the executive committee of the Indian Society of Pediatric Nephrology (ISPN) in past. He was the “Organizing Secretary” for the National Conference of Indian Society of Pediatric Nephrology (ISPNCON P held at Mumbai in 2022.
He has publications in indexed national as well as international journals. He is a recognised teacher for DNB Pediatrics course. He has been organizing regular academic activities in Pediatric Nephrology to create awareness regarding kidney diseases in children.
