Dr. Susheel Bindroo is the Director of Interventional Pulmonology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, Mumbai. He has over 15 years of clinical experience. He has received his medical degree from SP Medical College Bikaner, and his PG residency in Pulmonary Medicine from VP Chest Institute and MA Medical College, Delhi. He earned his Diploma in Critical Care from the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, followed by a Fellowship in Critical Care from NBE. He completed his training in Interventional Pulmonology at Penn Medical Centre, Philadelphia. He is EDIC and EDARM qualified and has fellowship from American College of Chest Physicians.

Dr. Bindroo specializes in the treatment of all lung related disorders and critically ill patients. He is one of the pioneers of interventional pulmonology in India and has performed more than 500 EBUS and multiple other complex procedures including medical thoracoscopy, stenting of tracheobronchial airways, ablation of endo-bronchial tumors and placement of indwelling pleural catheters.

  • CRITICAL CARE & INTERVENTIONAL PULMONOLOGY (IP): Trained in IP in the department of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Centre, Philadelphia under Dr Daniel H Sterman MD, FCCP (one of the pioneers of IP).
  • Well-versed with CP-EBUS and Peripheral EBUS for diagnosis and staging of lung cancer
  • Medical thoracoscopy for minimally invasive management of pleural diseases
  • Laser, Electrocautery and APC treatment of obstructing endobronchial lesions
  • Stenting of benign and malignant stenosis of trancheo-bronchial tree
  • Rigid broncoscopy and its attendant procedures
  • Placement of subcutaneously tunneled catheters (PleurX) for the management of malignant pleural effusions
  • Percutaneous dilational tracheostomy for airway management
