Dr. Chetan Anchan is a Consultant in the Department of Orthopaedics at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
After completing MBBS, Dr. Anchan pursued M.S. (Orthopaedics) at prestigious K.E.M. hospital, Mumbai. Then, he pursued fellowship in the Bone and Soft Tissue Tumour at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, where he underwent extensive training in the management of musculoskeletal tumours. He also pursued fellowship in Orthopaedic Oncology at the Cancer Institute Hospital, Tokyo, Japan.
Dr. Anchan has an experience of 12 years in the field of Orthopaedic Oncology. In addition to our hospital, he is also a Consultant at Bombay Hospital and Medical Research Centre since 2008 and at Jupiter Hospital since 2010 in Mumbai. He exclusively deals with all types of bone tumors, soft tissue tumors, sarcomas, skeletal metastasis and skin tumors. He is among a handful of surgeons in India who exclusively deals with musculoskeletal tumors and specialize in limb salvage surgery. He has vast experience in limb salvage surgery using various means of reconstruction ranging from tumor megaprosthesis to biological options like allograft, vascularized fibula, ECRT etc.
Dr. Anchan presented several research papers at national and international conferences, has published several peer-reviewed papers in national and international journals, and also co-author various book chapters. He also regularly conduct lectures on Musculoskeletal Oncology for post-graduate students of Orthopaedics from all teaching hospitals of Mumbai at Bombay Hospital. He also conduct lectures on bone tumors for undergraduate medical students at Bombay Hospital.
