Dr Zaheer Virani is a Consultant with the Nephrology department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
After MBBS, Dr Zaheer Virani completed MD (Medicine) followed by DNB (Nephrology). He has attained proficiency in diagnosis and treatment of acute renal failure, chronic kidney disease, Dialysis (Haemodialysis & Peritoneal dialysis), Kidney transplantation, Interventional procedures (Central venous haemodialysis access, arterial lines & Permcaths). He has also conducted and cared for ABO incompatible transplants. He is attached with several other reputed hospitals in Mumbai.
Dr. Zaheer Virani has several publications to his credit in the area of Urology and has presented his dissertation topic “Changing pattern of antibiotic sensitivity in enteric fever”. He presented a paper on “IgA Nephropathy with renal atypical mycobacterium infection” at ASN Kidney week 2013 in Atlanta, USA. He has participated in multiple conferences and workshops across the country.
Dr. Virani has also got three years of teaching experience of residents, undergraduates, nursing and technical staff at Bombay Hospital.
