Dr. Ganapathi M Bhat is a Consultant with the Medical Oncology department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

An alumni of Karnataka University, Dr. Ganapathi Bhat completed his MBBS in 1993, followed by DNB (General Medicine) in 2002 with training at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai. He became a member of the academy by the credential committee of National Academy of Medical Sciences in 2002. He underwent advanced ICAS training course on Blood Stem Cell Transplantation in 2009 at Ulm University, Germany; an ESH-EBMT training course on Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation at LA-BAULE, France in 2011, and ESH-EBMT training course on Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation at Alicante Spain in 2007.

Dr. Bhat has vast experience in managing Haematological malignancies, Solid tumours and metastatic carcinoma of prostate. He is trained in carrying out both autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant for various disorders and undertake PRRT therapy for neuroendocrine tumour. His areas of special interest include Stem Cell Transplant; Targeted therapy; Immunotherapy; Radio immunotherapy in lymphoma; Radio peptide therapy (PRRT Therapy); Clinical application of Mesenchymal stem cells in regenerative medicine; and Cellular therapy.

Dr. Bhat is affiliated to several professional bodies such as Asian- Pacific Blood and Bone Marrow Transplantation, European Haematology Association, European Society of Medical Oncology, American Association for Cancer Research and is associated to the college of Chest Physicians of India. He has been the recipient of awards such as Mother Teresa Gold Medal Award-GEPRA (2012-2013), Jawaharlal Nehru Gold Medal Award-GEPRA (2013-2014) and Best Medical Oncologist of India, National Health Achievers award (2015). He has co-authored 14 journal articles, 4 book chapters and presented his work at many conferences.
