Endocrinology

He is the President of Indian Academy of Diabetes ,Imm Past Dean ,Indian College of Physicians and Chair of International Diabetes Federation (South East Asia Region). He is the Past President of Endocrine Society of India (ESI) ,  Association of Physicians of India(API) , Research Society for Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) , Hypertension Society of India (HSI) and All India Association of Advancement for Research in Obesity, IASO Affiliate(AIAARO). He is the Founder Vice President of The PCOS Society (PCOS) and Ex Secretary of Indian Thyroid Society (ITS). He is Hon. Emeritus Editor of Journal of The Association of Physicians of India (JAPI) and Chief- Editor of Journal of Medical Nutrition and Nutracueticals and Indian Journal of Medical Sciences (IJMS) .  He was the member of 8th edition of International Diabetes Federation Atlas 2017. He is the Executive member of Diabetes Asia Study Group (DASG) and Immediate Past Chapter Chair (India) of American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE). He is the past faculty of Medicine at Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Gorup of Hospitals and Past faculty of Endocrinology of Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital.He has topped all years of MBBS, MD, and DM with Gold Medals. . He has more than 800 research publications to his credit. He is an Ex- Editor of Indian Journal of Obesity, Indian Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism and Indian Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics and several other leading medical journals.

He is visiting faculty to several Indian and International Universities. He is actively involved with evidence based work in Endocrinology including Diabetes, Obesity, Thyroid, Osteoporosis and Growth. He was awarded “International Clinician of the year 2012” by the American College of Endocrinology. He has been conferred in 2014 "Padma Shri" by Government of India.
