An Intensivist at Core of his heart, Dr. Pandit has been the face of critical care during the pandemic. He has over 22 years of experience of managing multi-specialty intensive care in India and overseas. A graduate of Mumbai University he competed his MD from Grant Medical College Mumbai in Anesthesiology. To pursue critical care, he moved to Australia where he completed the prestigious Fellowship of College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (FJFICM, FCICM. He worked there as a consultant for several years before returning back to India. He continues to be a visiting consultant to 2 hospitals in NSW Australia. He is a pioneer in critical care echocardiography in India and regarded an expert in Brain Death and Organ Donation in the country.
He brings in this rich experience and will build up on the strong foundation at RFH to make the ICU a world class facility, with outcomes consistent with International Standards. He aspires to give best critical care facility to as amny people as possible and hence will be working on tele ICU as well with an aim to provide top notch critical care to even remote hospitals.
He is a well respected teacher for ISCCM, DNB and CICM Australia and also holds appointment of an adjuvant faculty at the Shree Dutta Meghe Medical College Sawangi, Wardha and has been honored as a Professor Emeritus at the Dr. D Y Patil Medical University Kolhapur
