Paediatrics

Dr. Smita Koppikar is a Consultant at the Paediatrics department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre with privileges in Paediatric Endocrinology & Diabetology.

After completing his MBBS she successfully pursued her DNB in Paediatrics and then went on to complete her MRCPCG and CCT (UK) in Paediatric Endocrinology. She had earlier been attached with Sion Hospital and other Children’s hospital in Mumbai. She was also Consultant in Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes in University Hospital, Limerick, Ireland and Consultant, Paediatric Endocrinology & Diabetology in NHS-UK. She also trained as a Registrar at St. George’s Hospital in UK.

She has extensive research and audit experience in her area of expertise, including in Patient satisfaction survey of newly diagnosed diabetics.

Dr. Koppikar has several publications and paper presentations to her credit as well as book chapters and reviews. She has delivered several talks and lectures in Paediatric Endocrinology. She also has extensive teaching experience and has been an examiner for medical student examinations.
