Dr Gauri Merchant is a Consultant at the Dental Services department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

After her BDS, she completed MDS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from the Government Dental College & Hospital. Later, she completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Hospital Management & Health Care Research from Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences, Pune in 2005. She was a top ranker in medical college and the recipient of several awards for her excellent academic performance. She also completed the IMTEC Implantology course at FDI, Singapore in 2009.

Dr Merchant has a rich experience of more than 14 years in the field of dentistry. She specialises in Cosmetic Dentistry and Implantology. She has comprehensive knowledge of dental treatment process and techniques and has expertise to perform all routine, aesthetic and dentistry procedures such as surgical extractions, crown lengthening surgeries, fixed/removable prosthodontics, basic restorative work, rotary filling and replacement and restoration of implants, soft tissue surgery.

Dr Merchant is a member of the Indian Dental Association and Indian Association of Implantologists. She is also a Life Member of Indian Academy of Aesthetic & Cosmetic Dentistry. Additionally, she renders her expertise as a Facilitator in practice of AIDS Care Group, Chester Philadelphia (West End Medical Group Inc.).

Dr Merchant has presented several papers at National as well as International Conferences and has received recognition for many of these. She regularly participates in workshops, symposia, training programs and conferences to keep abreast of the latest happenings in the field of dentistry. Furthermore, she has worked as an Observer with Dr. P Michael Schelkun, Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, Philadelphia, USA on different occasions in the past.
